1. Foreign nationals who violate their legal stay rights but leave the country under the following conditions will not be subject to an entry ban to Turkey:

a. Foreign nationals who overstay their legal stay for up to 3 months (excluding 3 months), voluntarily present themselves at border crossings before authorities detect the violation, and pay the overstay fines in turkey.

b. Foreign nationals who overstay their legal stay for up to 3 months (excluding 3 months) are issued a deportation order but leave within the granted departure period by voluntarily presenting themselves at border crossings and paying the overstay fines in turkey.

2. Foreign nationals who violate their legal stay rights but leave the country under the following conditions will be subject to an entry ban to Turkey ranging from 1 month to 5 years:

a. Foreign nationals who overstay their legal stay for more than 3 months (including 3 months) voluntarily present themselves at border crossings before authorities detect the violation and pay the overstay fines in turkey.

For foreigners falling under this scope, the entry ban durations corresponding to violation periods are as follows:

3 months – 6 months violation: 1-month entry ban
6 months – 1 year violation: 3-month entry ban
1 year – 2 years violation: 1-year entry ban
2 years – 3 years violation: 2-year entry ban
More than 3 years violation: 5-year entry ban

3. Foreign nationals who violate their legal stay rights and leave the country or are deported under the following circumstances will be subject to an entry ban to Turkey ranging from 3 months to 5 years:

a. Foreign nationals who voluntarily present themselves at border crossings before authorities detect their legal stay violation but fail to pay the overstay fines in turkey,

b. Foreign nationals who overstay up to 3 months (excluding 3 months), are issued a deportation order, but fail to leave within the granted period and/or fail to pay the overstay fines in Turkey,

c. Foreign nationals who overstay more than 3 months (including 3 months), are issued a deportation order, and are requested to leave Turkey, regardless of whether they pay the overstay fines in Turkey,

d. Foreign nationals whose residence permit applications are rejected or residence permits are revoked but fail to leave within the granted periodregardless of whether they pay the overstay fines in turkey,

e. Foreign nationals who exhaust their 90-day stay within 180 days under the visa or visa exemption rules, are permitted entry with the condition of applying for a residence permit within 10 days, but fail to applyregardless of whether they pay the overstay fines in Turkey,

f. Foreign nationals who are released from administrative detention and placed under alternative obligationsregardless of whether they pay the overstay fines in turkey,

g. Foreign nationals who are deported under official escortregardless of whether they pay the overstay fines in turkey,


For foreigners under this scope, the entry ban durations corresponding to violation periods are as follows:

Up to 3 months violation: 3-month entry ban
3 months – 6 months violation: 6-month entry ban
6 months – 1 year violation: 1-year entry ban
1 year – 2 years violation: 2-year entry ban
More than 2 years violation: 5-year entry ban

4.Even if the duration of the imposed entry ban has expired, foreign nationals who fail to pay the overstay fines in turkey and other public receivables under relevant legislation provisions shall not be permitted entry into our country as long as they remain unpaid.
